Project Close Out

Project Close Out

As an official award nears completion, a Project Close Out meeting should be held. This could be as early as 90 days prior to project end date. This meeting could also be repeated at intervals of 60 days and 30 days prior to the project end date, as necessary. This will be attended by a GSPAR budget specialist and by the Principal Investigator (PI). The items that will be discussed at this meeting include the following:

Project Programmatic Status

On target goals
Adjustments needed

Project Financial Status

Spend rate analysis
No Cost Extension consideration
Status of revenue received

Final Project Reports Status

Report clearance form
Goals & objectives recap

Final Financial Reports Status

Projections
General Ledger postings

GSPAR's goal is for the award to be programmatically and administratively managed as efficiently as possible. The Project Close Out meeting will assist the (PI) and the GSPAR office in reaching this mutually beneficial goal.
